This is a small section of what appears to be a massive drugs and cheap clothes sales area. Driving through is a shock. Visiting on foot starts with constant requests for money that soon become annoying and on occasion mildly threatening. If you find a quiet spot to observe from for a short moment it then dawns on you... All these toothless ghosts, sleeping, sitting or shambling around are real people. Multiple human tragedies are unfolding in front of your eyes. The requests for small change now no longer seem so annoying.
