This image shows how far away the clay pigeons are when they are struck by the lead shot. The small bunker in the middle is called the house. The house dispenses clay pigeons on command which is shouted into a small microphone in front of the shooter. The command can be any sound at all. The command "Pull" is quite popular are is "Bird" which sounds good with a full American "r".
