One might expect Love Canal, an old suburb of Niagara Falls, to be a euphemist's wet dream. Sadly this is not so. Love Canal turned out to be a short section of useless canal that became a forgotten toxic chemical dump. Houses were built close by and a human disaster ensued which due to various denials dragged on for quite a while. Since then, houses have been demolished, signs removed and a fence erected around Love Canal. Snaps of the fence and turfed over toxic dump are shown above.
