Sword on Head Bellydance
History tells us that this first time this dance was performed occurred during the battle of Azaz in 1125, part of the first crusades. It is reported that during the initial "taunting phase" of the battle neither side was putting much effort in and so Gamila the local fearless head dancer from a bellydance troupe, instructed the girls to take all the swords from the fighters. Once this was accomplished and the men were swordless, the dancers put on a show. Fighters from both sides agreed that watching girls dance was a much better way to spend an afternoon compared with the obvious bloody alternative.
Should copies of Playboy be dropped in war zones to quell tempers and remove the need for conflict? Hugh Hefner would surely be happy to support this.

Love Canal, Niagara Falls, USA
One might expect Love Canal, an old suburb of Niagara Falls, to be a euphemist's wet dream. Sadly this is not so. Love Canal turned out to be a short section of useless canal that became a forgotten toxic chemical dump. Houses were built close by and a human disaster ensued which due to various denials dragged on for quite a while. Since then, houses have been demolished, signs removed and a fence erected around Love Canal. Snaps of the fence and turfed over toxic dump are shown above.
Founding Fathers Pub, Buffalo
The theme of Founding Fathers is US Presidents. A quick poll of nearby drinkers settled on Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt as the favourites. Luckily the placemats includes a recap of all of the presidents. This was most useful and helps answer any US President based questions that crop up.
