Old Buick

Old Chevrolets

Old cars from the 50's, 60's and 70's are much loved.

Lime Coloured House

Pittsburgh City Road

The roads are quite big.

Helmets in Pennsylvania

One can ride a motorbike without a helmet in Pennsylvania and lots of folk take advantage of this. This is often done at speed on one of Milwaukee's finest.

While bicyclists, as they are known in the US, tend to wear helmets. Apparently, these car dodging folk are not well loved in Pittsburgh and currently letters bemoaning the poor road manners of bicyclists regularly appear in local news. This thinifer does look good though.

View of Pittsburgh

These images are in part thanks to the local knowledge of the owner of the mystery hands at left.
The Pittsburgh Pirates were playing at the stadium in the centre of the image and the colourful spectators can be seen, just.

Pittsburgh Downtown Area

Pittsburgh Houses on a Hill

Pittsburgh is quite hilly, much like San Francisco.

Fairies in East Aurora

It appears that the Fairies have built a house in a tree in East Aurora. It is safe to assume that they shop at Tops Supermarket with eveyone else. Well, that explains the miniature shopping trolleys spotted in the car park.

Urban Rabbit

This urban rabbit was spotted on someone's lawn. Many people here in the US hunt. This is one brave rabbit.

View Towards Farm at Knox Farm State Park

Stationary Swallow

The skill required to catch one on the wing has not yet been mastered. The noise this one was making was loud for such a small beast.

Knox Farm State Park Tree Detail

This dead tree has apparently featured in local artwork. It seems safe to assume that the bug that drilled the holes commands respect.

Red Breasted Bird With Bug

This bold red breasted bird hangs around in it's territory and on this occasion has a small green bug in it's beak. Wing tips are used as stabilisers when walking around.

Upright Squirrel

Looking a little like a meerkat or perhaps a nervous defendant in the dock wringing his/her hands.

Light Bug Fog

Summer near Buffalo is a little buggy and yes they are bity. The small ones congregate in light fogs close to dusk.

The slow shutter speed displays bug Brownian motion.

The Buffalo Yoga Bubble

It all started with a need for exercise. Yoga became popular and more available. New teachers were trained and this led to BOGOF offers, superabundance and finally free yoga. The new yoga business economics failed and the Buffalo Yoga Bubble burst. Folk were then forced to consider home yoga or a life without yoga. For some this was too much and they turned to Zumba and other dance based exercise. If you go to Buffalo, in all seriousness, don't mention the yoga.

Ellicottville Brewing Company

A popular place for bikers to meet on Harleys.

Ellicottville Bike Shop & Burritos

East Aurora Music Festival Elm Street Bakery

Elm Street bakery served up delicious bratwurst.

The street was closed and folk gathered.

East Aurora Music Festival, .22 Calibre

A rock band at the bowling alley. As normal it was hot and loud. The bouncer near the stage had ear plugs in.

East Aurora Music Festival, Zydeco

Described variously as Cajun music and Millwaukee poker music. The guys seemed to like it but the gals less so.

East Aurora Music Festival, Two Dudes

The chap on the left was in a band playing at the festival and the chap on the right is a friend.

Sammy's Self Serve Dog Wash

No more dirty dogs thank to Sammy.

Mary Jemison

Mary Jemison was an American frontierswoman who became a Seneca. Here is her statue at Letchworth Park carrying a baby attached to a board on her back.
